Join Our Team
We are always in search of responsible individuals who are committed to helping us serve the community. We accept people from all walks of life and with various backgrounds of training. It is understood that different members offer different skills, and we welcome you to look over the membership classes below to best determine where you’d fit in!
Regular (Active) Member
A Regular (Active) Member is a member who is currently an EMT (care provider) or wishes to become an EMT and actively participates in agency activities including, but not limited to, regular training and staffing of an ambulance as required by policy.
Cadet (Active) Member
A Cadet Member is a member who is currently an EMT or wishes to become an EMT and actively participates in agency activities including, but not limited to, regular training and staffing of an ambulance as required by policy.
While this class of membership is similar to that of a Regular (Active) Member, a Cadet is over the age of 16 and under the age of 18. Parental consent is required to apply, and specific labor laws apply to member involvement.
Associate (Support) Member
An Associate Member is a non-medical member who supports the day-to-day operations of the agency through administrative functions, and actively participates in agency activities including, but not limited to, fundraisers and special stand-by events as required by policy.

Rutgers EJB School of Planning and Public Policy Internship
We are proud to work with the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University in hosting internships to further both of our programs. Students currently enrolled in this school (members and non-members alike) are actively encouraged to reach out to us with propositions for public health projects that can deliver measurable successes within the fields of healthcare, disaster preparedness, and public welfare education!
Should you desire to seek an internship with us, we ask that you email firstname.lastname@example.org stating your request.
President's Volunteer Service Award
We are proud to be a Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). This award, founded in 2003 by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation, recognizes the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.
The PVSA has continued under each administration, honoring the volunteers who are using their time and talents to solve some of the toughest challenges facing our nation.
Led by the AmeriCorps and managed in partnership with Points of Light, this program allows Certifying Organizations to recognize their most exceptional volunteers.
